Afghanistan, June 16 -- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Tehran agreed to the recent memorandum of understanding with the United States to test Washington's commitment to respecting Iran's rights and national interests.
Pezeshkian said on Monday that the agreement received broad backing from members of Iran's parliament following intensive consultations. He said Tehran's decision to accept the memorandum was aimed at assessing whether the United States would honor its commitments in practice.
