Afghanistan, July 27 -- The Peshawar High Court has suspended the detention and deportation of an Afghan woman undergoing cancer treatment and two members of her family for 30 days, giving them temporary protection while they seek legal permission to remain in Pakistan.
A two-member bench issued the order while hearing a petition filed by Anargul, her husband and their son. The court directed the relevant authorities not to detain or deport the three during the 30-day period and instructed Anargul to use the time to apply for a medical visa or secure legal residency in Pakistan.
