Afghanistan, Aug. 9 -- The Pentagon has asked U.S. defense companies to submit plans to rapidly increase weapons production and accelerate deliveries amid concerns over the use of key missile and munitions stocks during the war with Iran, The Washington Post reported.
The newspaper, citing a memo from Deputy Secretary of War Stephen Feinberg, reported that defense contractors have been given 21 days to submit plans for expanding production of critical weapons and shortening delivery timelines.
