Afghanistan, Aug. 16 -- At least 15 militants were killed in two separate intelligence-based operations in Pakistan's Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces, according to Pakistani security officials.
The operations were carried out on Saturday, August 15, 2026, with security forces targeting suspected militants in Khuzdar district of Balochistan and Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, officials said.
In Balochistan, security forces conducted an operation in the Shor Purod area of Khuzdar after receiving intelligence about the presence of armed militants. Officials said an exchange of fire followed, leaving 10 militants dead and several others wounded.
