Afghanistan, March 19 -- Local officials in Kunar say six civilians were wounded in Pakistani missile strikes on the eastern Afghanistan province on Wednesday, as cross-border attacks continued to hit populated areas.

Ziaur Rahman Spin Ghar, head of information at the Taliban's Department of Information and Culture in Kunar, said the wounded were injured in Asadabad, the provincial capital, and in Nari district later in the day. He said the victims had been taken to Kunar provincial hospital for treatment.

The Taliban official said Pakistan carried out 63 missile strikes on Nari district, 33 on Manogai, 13 on Sarkani, six on Shultan and six on Asadabad over the past 24 hours. There was no immediate comment from Pakistani officials on the ...
