Afghanistan, Oct. 18 -- Pakistan continues demolishing an Afghan refugee settlement in Karachi, with over 300 homes torn down during the second day of operations, according to local authorities.

Pakistani authorities have continued demolishing homes in an Afghan refugee settlement in Karachi for a second consecutive day, local officials said on Friday.

According to Pakistani media, more than 300 houses were torn down on the first day of the operation in one of the city's Afghan migrant neighborhoods.

Officials said abandoned and dilapidated homes were demolished using heavy machinery as police, interior ministry personnel, and the Karachi Development Authority (MDA) secured the area.
