Afghanistan, Sept. 15 -- The Pakistan Army said 19 soldiers and 45 TTP militants were killed in operations across Bajaur, South Waziristan, and Lower Dir, amid rising cross-border militancy.

The Pakistan Army said 19 soldiers and 45 Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants were killed during recent security operations near the Afghanistan border.

Military officials confirmed that three operations took place over the past two days in Bajaur, South Waziristan, and Lower Dir districts, all strongholds of militant activity.

In Bajaur, 22 insurgents were killed, while in South Waziristan, 13 fighters were eliminated but 12 soldiers also lost their lives in fierce clashes.
