Afghanistan, May 10 -- Pakistan's army chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, on Sunday urged Afghanistan's Taliban authorities to stop supporting militant groups, including Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), amid rising regional violence and worsening security tensions.
Speaking during a ceremony marking what Pakistan calls the "Day of Battle of Truth," Munir said Islamabad's only demand from the Taliban administration was to prevent Afghanistan territory from being used by armed groups targeting Pakistan.
He accused India of supporting militant violence against Pakistan through what he described as "state-sponsored terrorism" and claimed attacks were being coordinated from Afghanistan soil.
