Afghanistan, Sept. 22 -- More than 20 people were killed after Pakistani jets bombed Tirah Valley, demolishing homes and fueling public anger amid escalating clashes along the Afghanistan border.
An overnight airstrike in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province killed more than 20 people, including women and children, sparking protests and the closure of the Bara Bazaar.
Local residents said Pakistani fighter jets struck the Tirah Valley at around 2 a.m. on Monday, destroying at least five houses in what they described as a "mistaken" bombing.
Demonstrators poured into the streets following the attack, accusing the military of targeting civilian homes. Witnesses said both militants and non-combatants were among the casualties.
