Afghanistan, May 14 -- An international halal products exhibition featuring more than 30 Afghanistan companies opened in the Russian city of Kazan during the "Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum" economic gathering.
According to Russian media reports, around 100 companies from countries including Afghanistan, Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan are displaying halal-certified food, clothing, cosmetics and other products at the exhibition.
Russian trade officials said Afghanistan imported halal products from Tatarstan worth more than $30 million during the first four months of this year, marking a sharp increase compared with the same period last year.
