Afghanistan, July 26 -- One person was killed and 17 others injured after a vehicle drove into a crowd attending Berlin's Pride festival, German authorities said, as police investigate the incident and search for a suspected individual reportedly linked to Islamist circles.

Reuters reported on Sunday that the vehicle entered Tiergarten Park in central Berlin at around 10 p.m. on Saturday, near the Brandenburg Gate, and struck several people before coming to a stop after hitting a tree. The vehicle was empty when police arrived.
