Afghanistan, March 8 -- The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) said it has provided emergency cash assistance to about 4,300 displaced people in Mohmand Dara District of Nangarhar Province in eastern Afghanistan.
In a statement posted Sunday on the social media platform X, the aid organization said the families had fled their homes due to escalating border clashes with neighbouring Pakistan.
The group stressed that civilians must never be targeted during armed conflict, warning that continued fighting is worsening the humanitarian situation in already vulnerable communities.
