Afghanistan, April 9 -- NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte said Donald Trump has voiced frustration with some NATO members over what Washington sees as insufficient support during the war with Iran. Rutte said he understood Trump's disappointment, but stressed that many European allies had still delivered on commitments made to the United States.
Speaking after talks with Trump, Rutte said most European NATO members had helped in practical ways, including logistics, access arrangements and other forms of cooperation. He acknowledged that some allies "were tested and failed," while defending the broader alliance against suggestions that it had stood aside completely during the conflict.
