Afghanistan, Aug. 12 -- Meta Platforms has unveiled Muse Glimmer, a 30-billion-parameter open-weight artificial intelligence model designed to perform agentic tasks on personal computers using a single consumer graphics card, as the company pushes to make advanced AI more accessible outside large data centers.

Meta said the model is designed for smaller, multi-step tasks that require an AI system to make decisions, use tools and carry out actions. Its ability to run locally on a Mac or PC with a single GPU could allow developers and users to use advanced AI capabilities without relying entirely on cloud-based computing.
