Afghanistan, June 15 -- French President Emmanuel Macron has welcomed the agreement reached between the United States and Iran and called for its swift and full implementation.
In a post on X early Monday, Macron said the agreement was the result of diplomatic efforts involving several countries and international partners.
He said the deal should lead to the immediate and unconditional reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that the restoration of unrestricted maritime traffic is essential for regional stability and the global economy.
Macron also said the agreement could create an opportunity for broader negotiations on peace and security in the Middle East.
