Afghanistan, July 25 -- London Mayor Sadiq Khan has said the United Kingdom must uphold its legal obligations to the International Criminal Court (ICC) if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu enters the country.

Khan's comments came after New York Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani said he would support enforcing the ICC's arrest warrant against Netanyahu if the Israeli prime minister visits New York.

Khan said international law should apply regardless of an individual's political position and argued that the British government must act in accordance with its legal obligations and international commitments.
