Afghanistan, March 23 -- Kim Jong Un has been reappointed as the head of state in North Korea, according to reports from state media. The announcement came during the first session of the Supreme People's Assembly in Pyongyang.
The meeting also discussed amendments to the socialist constitution, the appointment of the head of the State Affairs Commission, and other key government leadership positions.
The Supreme People's Assembly, North Korea's ceremonial legislature, formally approves state policies and typically convenes after the ruling Workers' Party Congress to turn party decisions into law.
