Afghanistan, July 16 -- Former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai has called for urgent action to address worsening child malnutrition in Afghanistan, urging institutions and the international community to strengthen humanitarian support while emphasizing that education, particularly for girls, is essential to the country's long-term recovery.

In a post on X on Wednesday, Karzai responded to a recent UNICEF warning that severe acute malnutrition among Afghan children is worsening.
