Afghanistan, Oct. 26 -- Kabul submitted a draft agreement to Pakistan during Istanbul talks, calling for respect of Afghanistan airspace and preventing cross-border militants from using Pakistani territory.
Taliban negotiators have submitted their final draft proposal after 15 hours of discussions with Pakistani officials in Istanbul, sources familiar with the talks said.
The draft calls for respect of Afghanistan's territorial sovereignty, including a halt to violations of Afghanistan land and airspace, and urges Pakistan to prevent anti-Taliban militants from operating on its soil.
Sources said the proposal also includes a four-party mechanism to monitor ceasefire breaches and share intelligence to prevent renewed border clashes.
