Afghanistan, Aug. 1 -- A former Pakistani envoy to Afghanistan has warned that Kabul's refusal to take concrete action against Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is threatening efforts to build stable relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan, as militant attacks continue to increase in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Asif Durrani, Pakistan's former special representative for Afghanistan, said Friday that Kabul's position that TTP-related violence is an internal Pakistani issue reflects a lack of willingness to address Islamabad's security concerns.
Durrani said mediation efforts by Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and China had so far failed to achieve meaningful progress in reducing tensions between the two neighbours.
