Afghanistan, June 10 -- U.S. Vice President JD Vance said Washington is "very close" to reaching an agreement with Iran, despite recent military exchanges between the two countries and growing tensions in the Gulf region.
Speaking to CBS News on Tuesday, Vance said he remains optimistic that a deal can be reached, although the timing remains uncertain. He said an agreement could be finalized as early as next week or could take several more months, depending on the pace of negotiations.
