Afghanistan, June 14 -- Former Israeli Prime Minister and opposition leader Yair Lapid has sharply criticised the emerging agreement between the United States and Iran, arguing that the proposed memorandum of understanding would represent a strategic failure for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In a post on X, Lapid said the reported agreement would leave Iran's political leadership in power, preserve its missile programme and allow Tehran to maintain the ability to rebuild its nuclear programme in the future.
