Afghanistan, May 3 -- Syrian Arab News Agency reported that Israeli forces shelled areas in southern Syria, including the outskirts of Quneitra and Daraa provinces.

According to the report, the shelling was launched from the Golan Heights and struck Tal al-Ahmar al-Sharqi and the town of al-Rafid, with no casualties reported.

SANA also said Israeli forces targeted forested areas near Kudna and the outskirts of the village of Jamla in the Yarmouk Basin in western rural areas.

The report added that southern Syria, particularly Quneitra, has witnessed repeated Israeli strikes and airspace violations over recent years, reflecting ongoing regional tensions.
