Afghanistan, Feb. 28 -- The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that Iran has begun launching missiles toward Israel following joint airstrikes carried out by Israel and the United States. In a statement posted on X, the military said it had identified missiles fired from Iran and that air defense systems were actively intercepting the threats.
The IDF added that its Home Front Command had issued precautionary alerts directly to mobile phones in affected areas over the past few minutes. Residents were instructed to follow safety guidelines as interception systems remained operational amid fears of further escalation.
