Afghanistan, June 8 -- Israeli media reported that Iran and Yemen have launched a total of 31 missiles toward Israel since Sunday evening, marking the latest escalation in a rapidly worsening regional confrontation.
According to Israeli reports, about 30 missiles were fired from Iran and one from Yemen in several waves. Israeli officials said air defense systems intercepted most of the projectiles, while warning sirens were activated in multiple areas.
The Israeli military said it responded early Monday with strikes on military sites and missile-launch infrastructure in western and central Iran. Iranian authorities have not yet released a full assessment of damage from the attacks.
