Afghanistan, Aug. 1 -- Israel has pulled most embassy staff from Abu Dhabi, citing growing threats from groups linked to Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah, and warned citizens of heightened travel risks.
Reuters reports that Israel's National Security Council has heightened its travel warning for Israeli citizens visiting the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In a statement, the council warned that the groups - including those linked to Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, and global jihad networks - have stepped up efforts to target Israelis.
At the same time, Israel's embassy in Abu Dhabi announced it is withdrawing most of its staff, leaving only a limited team under strict security protocols.
