Afghanistan, June 21 -- Iranian state-affiliated media reported that shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has been significantly restricted, citing satellite data and maritime tracking reports indicating that only vessels bound for Iran have recently been observed transiting the strategic waterway.
According to Iran's Fars News Agency, a research and analytics firm specializing in oil and gas investment said maritime traffic through the strait had largely disappeared since Iranian military authorities announced restrictions following what they described as U.S. and Israeli violations of a recently signed memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran.
