Afghanistan, May 19 -- Mohsen Rezaei, a member of Iran's Expediency Discernment Council, said Tehran would force the United States "to retreat and surrender" amid rising tensions between the two countries.

Al Jazeera reported on Monday night, May 18, that Rezaei adopted a hardline tone and appeared to criticize U.S. President Donald Trump over what he described as setting a "deadline for military action" before later backing away from it.
