Afghanistan, Oct. 22 -- Iran will begin issuing up to 200,000 work visas for Afghan citizens in 2025, aiming to regulate foreign labour, reduce illegal migration, and prioritize Iranian employment opportunities.
Iran's Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare has announced the launch of a new work visa program for Afghan citizens, set to begin in October 2025, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Deputy Minister for Entrepreneurship and Employment Development Seyed Malek Hosseini said the initiative aims to regulate the foreign labour market and curb illegal migration while prioritizing Iranian workers for available positions.
