Afghanistan, April 20 -- Tasnim News Agency reported that Iran is preparing for the possible of renewed conflict following recent U.S. military movements in the region.
The report said late Sunday that shifts in United States military deployments indicate heightened readiness and a possible escalation scenario.
According to Tasnim, U.S. forces have repositioned warships and used heavy transport aircraft, including C-5 and C-17 planes, to move military equipment.
Iran is said to be considering two parallel scenarios, including the possibility that the U.S. buildup is intended as psychological pressure to gain leverage in ongoing negotiations.
