Afghanistan, April 27 -- Iran's foreign minister reports progress in talks with the U.S., citing mediation efforts and ongoing regional diplomacy including visits to Oman and Russia.
Abbas Araghchi said negotiations between Iran and the United States have made progress, despite ongoing disagreements that prevented a breakthrough in previous rounds.
Speaking during a visit to Russia, Araghchi said advances had been achieved in talks, but "incorrect approaches and excessive demands" by Washington had hindered reaching a comprehensive agreement.
He added that Pakistan has played an important mediating role, helping facilitate indirect negotiations and discussions on how talks could resume under acceptable conditions.
