Afghanistan, June 17 -- Ebrahim Azizi, chairman of Iran's parliamentary National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, has warned that any violation of the U.S.-Iran agreement due to be formally signed on Friday would trigger a "strong response" from Tehran.

Writing on X on Tuesday, Azizi said Iranian resistance had forced Washington to alter its approach and enter negotiations on terms acceptable to Iran. He added that the United States must demonstrate its commitment by fully implementing the agreement and helping ensure an end to hostilities in Lebanon.

Azizi said Iran considers the era of "unilateral pressure" to be over and warned that failure to honor the agreement's provisions would have consequences.
