Afghanistan, June 1 -- Iran's presidency has denied reports that President Masoud Pezeshkian plans to resign, describing the claims as unfounded and saying he continues to carry out his official duties as normal.

In a statement, the presidential office rejected speculation circulated by some media outlets and social media users that Pezeshkian could step down amid mounting political and economic challenges facing the country.
