Afghanistan, Aug. 5 -- Iran has reportedly pressured Kabul to hand over a list of Afghan allies of Britain to identify MI6-linked individuals before upcoming nuclear negotiations.
In a move raising international concern, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has reportedly requested the Taliban to hand over a list of nearly 25,000 Afghans who worked with the British government during the war in Afghanistan. The request, according to a report by The Telegraph on Monday, August 4, is allegedly part of Tehran's effort to identify former British intelligence assets and gain diplomatic leverage in nuclear negotiations.
