Afghanistan, July 5 -- Iran plans to begin charging service fees for commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz after the expiration of its 60-day interim arrangement with the United States, Iran's ambassador to China said on Sunday.

According to Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency, Ambassador Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli made the remarks during the Global Peace Forum in Beijing. He said the new arrangements would take effect after the current 60-day understanding between Tehran and Washington expires.
