Afghanistan, June 16 -- Iran's parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf will lead Tehran's delegation for the signing of a peace agreement with the United States in Switzerland, Iranian officials said on Tuesday.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi said the agreement is expected to be signed in Geneva on Friday, with follow-up negotiations beginning immediately afterward, according to Al Jazeera.

He said Ghalibaf will head the Iranian delegation, while U.S. Vice President JD Vance will lead the American team. The exact venue for the signing ceremony has not yet been announced.
