Afghanistan, June 26 -- Iran has offered humanitarian assistance to Venezuela following the deadly earthquakes that devastated parts of the South American country, as Tehran continues to strengthen ties with one of its closest political allies.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Thursday that Tehran stood with the Venezuelan people and was ready to provide any assistance needed to support relief and recovery efforts after the disaster.

Writing on X, Araghchi expressed condolences to the Venezuelan government and the families of those killed, describing the earthquakes as a tragic event and reaffirming Iran's readiness to help manage the humanitarian response.
