Afghanistan, June 8 -- Israel said Iran launched a new wave of ballistic missiles toward the country early Monday, triggering air raid sirens across central areas, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, as regional tensions continued to escalate.
The Israeli military said warning alerts were issued and air defense systems were activated to intercept the incoming missiles. Authorities later announced that the immediate threat had passed and residents could leave protected shelters.
