Afghanistan, March 22 -- Iran has issued a strong warning in response to Donald Trump, saying any attack on its infrastructure would trigger retaliation across the region.

In a statement carried by Fars News Agency, Iran's military command said US and allied energy, IT, and desalination facilities would be targeted if Tehran's assets are struck.

The warning came shortly after Trump gave a 48-hour ultimatum demanding Iran reopen the Strait of Hormuz, threatening to "obliterate" Iranian power plants if it fails to comply.

Iranian media described recent missile strikes on southern Israel, including Dimona, as retaliatory actions following attacks on Iranian nuclear-related sites such as Natanz.
