Afghanistan, Feb. 9 -- Iran Human Rights reported that five prisoners were executed at Chezel Hesar prison in Karaj, including one Afghan citizen.
The Afghan national was identified as Ahmad Farhad Haidari, originally from Herat province, who had been sentenced to death in a murder case under Iran's qisas law.
Another rights group, Hengaw, previously reported that at least 85 Afghan citizens were executed in Iran during 2025.
