Afghanistan, March 6 -- Iran's ambassador to Saudi Arabia said Tehran appreciates Riyadh's commitment not to allow its airspace, waters or territory to be used against Iran.
Alireza Enayati, Iran's ambassador in Riyadh, said Tehran welcomed repeated assurances from Saudi officials that the kingdom would not allow attacks against Iran from its territory.
"We appreciate what we have repeatedly heard from Saudi Arabia that it will not allow its airspace, waters or territory to be used against the Islamic Republic of Iran," Enayati told AFP on Thursday at the Iranian embassy in Riyadh.
Saudi Arabia had earlier supported diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions between Tehran and Washington before the outbreak of the recent conflict.
