Afghanistan, March 26 -- The International Olympic Committee on Thursday barred transgender women from female events at the Olympics, introducing mandatory gene testing before the 2028 Los Angeles Games.

The International Olympic Committee said on Thursday that transgender women will no longer be eligible to compete in women's events at the Olympic Games under a new policy that will take effect from the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
