Afghanistan, July 25 -- India's embassy in Iran said an LPG tanker carrying 28 Indian crew members came under attack in Iranian territorial waters in the Strait of Hormuz, with all crew members reported safe.

The embassy said on Friday, July 24, that Indian officials were in close contact with relevant authorities and were closely monitoring the situation.

"All 28 Indian crew members are safe," the embassy said in a post on X, without providing further details about the vessel, the nature of the attack or those responsible.
