Afghanistan, July 23 -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged to establish fast-track courts to prosecute those responsible for examination paper leaks, as youth-led protests demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan have grown into one of the biggest challenges to Modi's government since he came to power in 2014.
Reuters reported on Thursday that Modi's announcement was his first public response after days of protests over alleged examination irregularities. The protesters and opposition parties swiftly rejected the proposal, insisting that Pradhan resign first. Opposition lawmakers also disrupted Parliament for a fourth consecutive day this week.
