Afghanistan, Feb. 23 -- India on Sunday condemned Pakistan's deadly airstrikes in eastern Afghanistan, saying civilians were killed during Ramadan and sovereignty was violated.
Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for India's Ministry of External Affairs, denounced Pakistan's airstrikes on Nangarhar and Paktika provinces, calling them unacceptable.
In a statement issued Sunday, the ministry said the strikes during Ramadan resulted in civilian casualties, including women and children, and expressed deep concern.
Jaiswal described the action as another attempt by Pakistan to deflect attention from its internal challenges and strongly condemned the attacks.
