Afghanistan, Aug. 8 -- The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has provided medical equipment, medicines and diagnostic supplies worth about $500,000 to health authorities in Afghanistan's northern Baghlan province, according to officials.
Afghanistan's Ministry of Public Health said on Saturday, August 8, that the assistance included more than 40 types of medical supplies, medicines and diagnostic equipment intended for health facilities in the province.
Saddam Hussain Arab, head of Baghlan Provincial Hospital, said the assistance would help address shortages of medicines and medical equipment and improve the ability of health facilities to provide timely care and diagnostic services to patients.
