Afghanistan, Oct. 11 -- At least 12 people were killed and 309 others injured in a missile attack on King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia's capital, Riyadh, on Saturday, marking the deadliest assault on the kingdom in more than a decade, according to Saudi authorities.

The General Authority of Civil Aviation said the dead included four Saudi citizens, two Bangladeshi nationals and one citizen each from the United States, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Palestine and Sudan. Several of the injured were in critical condition and were receiving treatment at hospitals. The attack also caused damage to airport facilities.
