Afghanistan, Feb. 11 -- The UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan said that the heavy fog covered Kabul between 6:00 and 8:30 a.m., causing major disruptions across roads and transport routes.
According to UNAMA on Wednesday, visibility dropped close to zero, forcing vehicles to stop or move cautiously, while aircraft were unable to land at Kabul airport.
Kabul frequently experiences seasonal fog and winter air pollution, conditions that often disrupt transport and raise health concerns for residents across densely populated districts.
Experts say rapid urban growth, vehicle emissions, and climate-related weather changes contribute to worsening air quality and weather-related disruptions in Afghanistan's capital during winter months.
