Afghanistan, Oct. 8 -- Hamas said it is ready for a peace deal based on ongoing ceasefire talks but insists its core political and security demands remain.

Hamas said on Tuesday it is prepared to reach an agreement based on U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal to end the war in Gaza but stressed that several key issues still need to be resolved. The comments came as indirect ceasefire talks between Hamas and Israel entered a second day in Cairo, mediated by Egypt and Qatar.
