Afghanistan, April 14 -- Security officials in Baghlan Province said at least four people were killed and three others wounded in a shooting inside a mosque in Khwaja Khajan district.

According to local police, the attack took place on Monday evening during prayers, when armed individuals opened fire on worshippers inside the mosque, causing multiple casualties.

Police confirmed that two suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting, and security forces are continuing efforts to determine the motive and full circumstances of the incident.

Baghlan has witnessed repeated episodes of violence in recent years, including attacks on civilians and places of worship, raising concerns about local security and community tensions.
